Jasper's Doggie World ~ Featured Blogger

Today let's say hi to Jasper & Nellie from Jasper's Doggy World.

Thanks to Pet Blogs United for this opportunity to be this week's guest blogger. My name is Jasper and I am an Italian Sheepdog, also referred to as a maremma. Maremmas are an ancient breed of dog, used by shepherds in the Italian alps to protect their sheep flocks. I have cousins in other countries: Spain with the Pyrenean mountain dog, or the Hungarian Krusevo dog. Traditionally, the maremma dog sued to protect the sheep from wolves and other predators. The dogs would be turned out with the sheep flocks in the beginning of summer and brought in at the beginning of winter. Therefore, the breed was encouraged to think independently without human intervention.

I was born on the 1st December 2009 in windy Palmerston North, New Zealand. I came to live with my family in sunny Mangamahu valley, near Wanganui in January 2010. My family had moved from Wellington to a rural life-style block. In early 2011 mummy thought it would be cool to enter me in the Tux Wonder Dog of the year competition, so she started my blog in support of my application.
Needless, to say I didn't win. Daddy says that to be a TV star one of the pre-requisites is not to have a desire to bark and bark at the camera crew. Also, my inability to obey instructions might have hindered my application and my chronic car-sickness, might have something to do with it. After all I am a maremma and I have been breed to think independently when protecting my flock. In my case, my mummy is my flock and I must be with her at all times. Soon after I arrived mummy thought it would be good to be to have a friend, so after some time convincing daddy that they really do need another dog, Nellie arrived. Me and Nellie are such good dogs and we love to play with each other.

Mummy sometimes gets annoyed with Me and Nellie because We have to follow her around the garden and be with her at all times.

Here are links to our favourite blogs:

Once again thank you for asking Me and Nellie to be Pet Blogs United guest blogger.

Stop by & say hi to Jasper & Nellie to find out more about the maremma breed!

Easy Poop A Scoop Review & Giveaway

Today we have a cool product for you called the Easy Scoop A Poop.  This made in the USA product eliminates that yucky warm squishy feeling you get when you're picking up your dog's poo on a walk.

For me this is a huge bonus, I can't stand picking up warm poo.

The Easy Poop A Scoop is made with recycled plastic, minimizing landfill's impact on the environment.  The Post Industrial Recycled plastic bags reinforce their commitment to sustainability and the environment.

The first time you use it, it may seem a little confusing, but the instructions are simple & after you've done it once, you'll have no problem in the future.
The roll of bags is stored inside the Easy Poop A Scoop.
First you tear off one of the bags.
Next open the finger pockets on the outside of the Easy Poop A Scoop
Insert your fingers & thumb into the finger pockets.
Place you hand with the scooper into the waste bag.
Open the scooper jaw & use your opposite hand to form the bag into the pocket.
Then all you have to do is place the scooper over the pet waste & close the scooper jaw to capture waste into bag pocket.
Then simply use your free hand to pull the bag with the pet waste off.
Just tie a knot at the top & dispose in the nearest garbage can.

I did take some test pictures "out in the field" but due to some sun glare the pics didn't come out.  I did have some trouble trying to pick poo up off of the asphalt, but no problems at all on the grass.

Once lucky reader in the USA will win an Easy Scoop A Poop and 100 refill bags.

Tickle Berry Moon ~ New Blogger Alert

Tickle Berry Moon is a wonderful blog about 2 really cool doggie dudes!
Sherman &Tickle
Tickle Berry Moon is a blog that I started about a year ago. At that time I was going to post different shots of animals, and of my dog Smuckers. Smuckers was a Soft Coated Wheaton Terrier, that we were privilege to have in our lives for twelve years. He passed away in my arms last February . With that said, this is where Tickle berry and Sherman come into the picture. For the past year I have been training and loving my new little pups. That's when my blog went from animal critters to all about Tickle Berry, and Sherman, and their day-to-day lives. We may not post every day, but when we do, we make sure to include plenty of fun, laughable moments, and a few tears here and there. Tickle, Sherman, and I look forward to meeting, and making new friends.
Tickle
Tickle Berry is a fun loving, and sometimes stubborn Puggle. He likes to play tag, lay in the sun, and sit in the window looking for his mom,and dad to come home. He loves to go by,by and for walks. When he is tired he's like a grumpy old man. Tickle has many different faces.
Sherman
Sherman is a Mini Walrus, aka (Shar Pei, Basset hound mix). Sherman is also a loving fun dude, but gets his feelings hurt easy. Don't look at him crossed eyed he will tuck that tail, look at you with the saddest puppy eyes you've every seen. Sherman loves to carry his toys around, and play chase with Tickle in the backyard. Sherman's favorite thing to do is eat..... dog food, treats, sticks, and I won't mention the last thing it's yucky. Seems to be growing out of the yucky stuff, thank heavens.

p.s. When we decided to get a new pup last year my son had to have one too. That is how we ended up with two puppies. Little did we know that my son was going to start seeing a girl, plus be gone for three months for the Navy. Guess what I think Sherman is more my pup than my son's LOL

Drop by Tickle Berry Moon and give them a big PBU hello!

So I'm Kinda A Big Deal

So usually my mom person, Pam is the one doing all of the talking on this blog, but I really needed to let you know that I was just able to add another feather to my excessively handsome cap.

I'm currently featured as Canada Pooch's Pooch of the Week!  Check me out.

In case you don't know, Canada Pooch has the best raingear, hoodies, vests and coats around.  I reviewed their Torrential Tracjer rain jacket last year & still love it.

Canada obviously knows class when they see it!

Sam's Little Forest ~ Featured Blogger

Meet the adorable Sam from Sam's Little Forest:

My name is Sam Forest Loo Lim and the only dog of my awesome first-time dog parents, which of course explains the obsession my mummy has with me (but hey, I'm not complaining!). I'm a Rough Coat Jack Russell Terrier (Or Terror, which my parents prefer to use) and I turned 3 in Jan 2013!

We currently live in the big apple (NYC). Sam's little Forest (my blog) is my platform for me to share my thoughts and adventures with my friends and family, especially since most of mummy and daddy's family and friends are in a sunny island half way around the globe (in Singapore). It's a great way to keep them updated about with my very mischiefs.

In short, I'm just a Jack Russell Terror looking for some fun in the big apple.

Here's are 3 of my favorite blog entries:
It's Halloween...Finally
Sam's Swim Updates
Bookworm Sam

I know that you can't resist that face, so stop by Sam's Little Forest and tell him PBU sent ya!

Teddy The Dog Review & Coupon Code

Teddy The Dog is a fantastic company with awesome products.  I'm lucky enough to be able to review some of these products that are perfect for Mother's Day.
The t-shirt came wrapped in the cutest paper and this shirt is perfect for Oskar, our happy landscaper!

The quality and softness of the t-shirt is great, but I have to say that the women's sizes run a little small.  I ordered the XXL because I like things loose, but the shirt was a little tighter than what I would prefer, so make sure to follow the sizing guidelines on the site and consider the fact that you might have to order things larger than what you're used to.
The other item I was lucky enough to receive is Teddy's Cookie & Treat Jar

This is a true keeper.  The quality is fabulous, the jar is made beautifully in the United States.

The one thing I really want to stress to everyone is the quality of these products.  They are perfect for Mother's & Father's Day.

To encourage everyone to check out Teddy The Dog they have provided us with an exclusive coupon code.
Coupon Code: PBUDOG
for: 15% OFF orders at TeddyTheDog.com
expires: 9/30/13
