Easter & Rabbits A Dangerous Combination
Posted on 19:05 by Unknown
Every spring, thousands of rabbits are bred in deplorable conditions and sold in pet stores as “Easter” bunnies. The months following Easter are particularly grim and heartbreaking for these bunnies as they grow up and their novelty wears off. Although a well-cared for rabbit can live ten years, the life of an “Easter” bunny is often tragically short and painful. Many die of neglect or misinformation while others are abandoned outside (a death sentence and violation of the law) or dumped and euthanized at local shelters, ill-equipped to deal with the influx of unwanted bunnies.
