Greetings from Poochie Project headquarters! We're a fostering family here in Norfolk, VA (Go Navy!)
Last year we adopted the best little pound puppy, a mutt if you ever saw one, Relay. Here's the shot of his intake picture:
How could we possibly resist? When he first came home our boy was so afraid that it took him weeks just to leave the living room. Patience and love won out, though and our boy became healthy, happy, and well adjusted. In a quest to be the best poochie parents, we learned more about all the other dogs out there that needed a little help finding their forever homes; and so our blog was born.
Poochie Project chronicles Relay's adventures, talks about our rescue and volunteer efforts, promotes all the fosters that come through our doors, and shares a little bit of tips, tricks, treats, and training along the way that any pup family can enjoy.
Relay turned out to be more than just a great family dog, he has proven himself to be the best foster brother. He helps us smooth out the rough edges on his temporary siblings. All those little hearts on loan have become near and dear to us and we are so happy to have helped their happily ever afters along.
A big thanks to Pet Blogs United for featuring our blog. We look forward to making new friends and helping more pets in the future. Until then... nap time!
Stop by the Poochie Project today and give them a warm hello!
