We haven't been around much lately, me, Pam, has had the flu for over a week. But that won't stop me from introducing you to Theo.
My name is Theo and I am a big, bouncy ginger lab-husky cross. I live with my human Mum and Dad in a leafy little town called Westerham, just South of London by about 15 miles. My first family left me in a rescue centre and back then, I was skinny, nervous and tended to nip people when I wanted to play (Dad tastes like chicken). After a lot of walks, obedience classes and plenty of biscuits I finally knew that the new humans were well trained. I'd found my home, and we were a family. I calmed down a lot, although I still like to cause mischief if we don't have plenty of exercise and games that make me think! Here I am!
Yes, that's me, and that's my tongue! If you're not careful, I'll give you a big kiss! (Mum says it's like being slimed by the ghost from "Ghostbusters"). Here's me at the beach, I like to hunt and pounce on my tennis ball!
We have a great time, exploring the woods and trails of South East England and enjoy our share of adventures. Dad thought it was high time to write a blog just after the time we got chased by a herd of cows (can't catch me!), and then the week after Mum's finger was broken when my leash was tangled. That's where it all started, and why we started writing. My website is the aptly titled, "Theo's Dog Blog - the misadventures of a big ginger dog"
I love my training, and have gone through most of the stages with the UK's Kennel Club (puppy, bronze and silver), and working on my gold. I have tried agility but preferred to watch Dad run up and down like a lunatic (I'll do a trick once, maybe twice - but never more than three times). Just before Christmas I was awarded a very special certificate by my class. I'm the only dog ever to have escaped by jumping the fence. In my defence, there were some really tasty pine cones on the other side, and then I noticed the herd of sheep far in the distance, just one field over... honestly! I ask you, who wouldn't have jumped?
Well, that's a little about me and my family. We've made lots of friends along the way - and maybe we can be friends too! Check out Theo's dog blog, we really hope you like it! We'd love you to drop by the blog and say hi in the comments.
Best wishes,
Mike (Dad), Kim (Mum) & Theo Dog (the one with the fluffy tail)
